Lauren is an freelance Creative and Prop Maker from Essex. She has a well-established craft-hoarding special interest, which by some miracle has led her to develop a professional creative practice. Her main inspirations are early 2000s nostalgia, Leigh Bowery, all things 'novelty', Dame Edna Everage, general camp and playfulness.
Her previous jobs have included Guest Lecturer and Learning Facilitator at Goldsmiths BA Design (where she studied), Freelance Creative Studio Assistant at Bompas and Parr and a 2 week stint as a Trainee Pastry Chef at the michelin-star Sketch Mayfair.
In her making, she creates using whatever materials and methods best suit her latest silly scheme. She has experience with everything from all your classic paint types, needle felting to DIY silicone moulds, photoshop, cardboard makes to paper crafts, chicken wire to expanding foam, and hand sewing to whittling.
She has worked independently and in art deparment teams for Bompas and Parr, Louis Vuitton, Alison Jackson for Duran Duran, Dora Paphides for Perrie Edwards, Somerset House, Sketch Mayfair, Henry Paker, Lucy Cooper for Stella Artois X David Beckham, Matilda Greenwood, Octopus Energy, Sketch Mayfair, Tate Modern and Juicy Couture.
